More than 50% of women develop urinary incontinence.  It is not normal nor a normal part of aging and if not treated only becomes worse.  The latest treatments and simple outpatient procedures are available at the Center for Female Continence.  Dr. Jim Ross is the chief designer for the development of the Align minimally invasive outpatient surgical repair kit that is used Internationally for the treatment of urinary incontinence.  Dr. Ross has taught several thousand physicians in the treatment of urinary incontinence over the last several years.  It is not normal to lose urine with laugh, cough, sneeze or with aging.  NOW there is new minimally invasive outpatient procedure to correct these problems. Patients resume normal activities in the 1^st week after surgery.  Dr. Jim Ross designed and developed the Align urinary incontinence kit with Bard Urological.  This kit is used in the U.S. and Internationally.  Dr. Ross has trained several thousand physicians in the treatment of urinary incontinence and female pelvic support problems in a Bard Urological program.  This treatment has been shown clinically to be 96% effective in keeping women dry in a 5-year study.

Dr. Jim W. Ross received his medical training at UCLA School of Medicine and received a PhD at the UCLA Brain Institute.  He has practiced in Salinas for more than 20 years. He specializes in Urogynecology – the treatment of urinary & fecal incontinence and pelvic floor support problems in women. He has published more than 50 research articles in medical journals and written several chapters in medical text books on advanced gynecologic surgery.  Most recently, Dr. Ross designed a minimally invasive outpatient surgical procedure for urinary incontinence, working with Bard Urological.  He has also developed biological mesh systems used in the U.S. and Internationally for pelvic floor support.
